The Coronavirus panic has lead to a toilet paper shortage— leaving many people empty-handed in their shopping trips.
Bidets can easily solve the issue. Across the world, bidets are commonplace, but Americans haven’t quite caught on to the practice. In these times, we recommend installing a bidet.
When installing a bidet, you’ll have two options. One, you can hire a plumbing company like VMAX plumbing to handle the installation for you. Second, you can go the DIY route. Let’s explain what you’ll need to do if you choose to DIY.
To install your bidet, you’ll need to…
- Turn off the water supply valve. You don’t want any unnecessary leaks.
- Remove your existing water seat. Using a flathead screwdriver remove the nuts and bolts from the seat.
- Mount your bidet. Place the bidet’s mounting plate and install the bidet’s brackets over the bolt holes. This mount will ensure your bidet seat will easily slide onto your toilet.
- Install the bidet seat. Slide the seat onto the mount until you hear it click.
- Connect the water supply. Unscrew the hose from the water supply valve and screw on the bidet’s t-valve. Next, screw the water supply hose to the end of the t-valve.
A properly installed bidet can save you anxious trips to the supermarket to buy toilet paper. If you need professional help with your bidet toilet installation, VMAX plumbing is here to help during the COVID-19 crisis.
