The importance of Large Scale Plumbing and Water Collection

Although small scale residential and commercial plumbing is important, the larger scale dams and water collection projects are a vital part to desert climate of Southern California. With dams shaping the West, creating power and increasing development, no one much cared that it was spoiling rivers, silting reservoirs and ruining fisheries. They are needed to supply our populous cities, and agricultural farms with nutrients. Water collection sources have been considered since the last created dam in 1979, however only large scale droughts are the cause of water storage considerations.

Either larger dams will be needed, or add-ons will be necessary to supplement Southern California’s large water needs. Also, with El Nino on its way, an increase in infrastructure will be needed to support the surplus of water we may get.
